James Miles GilmoreGraveside services for James Miles Gilmore, 93, of Sterlington, LA, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008, at Concord Cemetery in Marion, LA.           Officiating will be Bros. Roger Johnson and J.E. Brown.Mr. Gilmore was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sterlington, LA, and also a member of the Masons. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. He retired after 45 years of service with United Gas; and is preceded in death by his daughter, Peggy Yelton.He is survived by his wife of 76 years Mamie T. Gilmore of Sterlington, LA; children, Barbara Reppond and husband Bobby of Marion, LA; Tommy Gilmore and wife Dorothy of Sterlington, LA; grandchildren, Vicki Green and husband Mike of Monroe, LA; Linda Kennedy and husband Stan of Marion, LA; Glenda Reynolds and husband Pete of Marion, LA; Kim Stroud and husband Jack of Calhoun, LA; Randy Gilmore and wife Donita of West Monroe, LA; Jay Yelton and wife Kim of Farmerville, LA and Jennifer Yelton of Farmerville, LA; 14 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.Pallbearers: Randy Gilmore, Jay Yelton, Jack Stroud, John ?Pete? Reynolds, Mike Green and Stan Kennedy. Just wanted to send my condolences.  Miles loved Mamie so much and vice versa.  Even amidst the cuteness of their husband and wife bickering in the nursing home, it was evident.  They were a pair.  I was their speech therapist for a while and really enjoyed working with the both of them.
