Elise and Rebecca, Just wanted you to know that both of you are in my thoughts. I never really knew Mike, but always felt like I did through the stories you shared about your family, mostly those antics from their earlier days. I know this is a difficult time for you. My prayers are with you. Love, Alecia

Mariah Halloran left a message on May 22, 2007:
Michael was an important influence in my life, and helped foster a love of reading, astronomy, and learning of all kinds. He also encouraged a deep affection for cats, Monty Python, and ìprofessionalî wrestling Jake the Snake Roberts was our favorite. His great Justin Wilson-style cooking and impersonations, compassion for all creatures great and small, and outrageous sense of humor are some of the many qualities that made him special and certainly one of a kind. He taught me how to be myself in the face of schoolyard conformity, to take the high road in an argument, and that no matter how bad things are, they could always get worse. I guess that last thing was supposed to be comforting! Throughout his decline in health, I am sure he continued to ìthink deep thoughtsî and I regret not staying in touch over the years to discuss them with him. Now free from physical constraints, I hope that he is at peace. Elise and Rebecca, please accept my sympathy for your loss.
