Funeral services for Mr. James E. Elmore, 69, of Point, LA, will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the Point Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dennis Anger, Rev. George Elmore, and Rev Clay Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilhite Cemetery in Point, LA, under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.Born November 18th, 1938, in Point, LA, he was a son of the late James Leroy and Esther Tidwell Elmore. A truck driver and veteran of the Louisiana Army National Guard, he passed away in West Monroe on Friday, February 29th, 2008.Survivors include his sons, Jamie Moorhead and wife, Karen, and Bobby Bennett and wife, Dorie; 2 sisters, Cora Sue Hedden and husband, Doyle, and Judy Bearden and husband, Larry; 3 brothers, J.D. Elmore and wife, Clara, Charles Elmore and wife, Nancy, and Carl Van Elmore and wife, Connie; 2 grandsons, Thatcher Moorhead and Tanner Michael Bennett; and a number of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers are nephews and include Craig, Eric, Shane, Glen and Keith Elmore, Dwight and Darrell Hedden, and Richard Bearden.Visitation will be on Monday, March 3rd, 2008, from 5PM until 8PM at the Point Assembly of God Church, Point, LA.
