Services for James Butch and Mary Jane Janie Robison Kyser will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 23, 2017 at Graceminster Presbyterian Church in Monroe LA. Rev. Bruce Rux will officiate. Services are under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. James passed away at 1:00 A.M. on Friday, January 20, 2017. Janie passed away 12 hours later from a broken heart.James is survived by his daughters, Leah Kyser and Evan Connor, and Maure Kyser; granddaughters, Ava Elizabeth Conner and Mary Grace Kyser; sister, Dawn Renee Carter and her husband, John Paul and niece, Monica Kathleen Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dolores Kyser, Jr. and his brothers, Frank and John Kyser. James loved Graceminster Presbyterian Church, his family and his grandchildren. He also loved his Harley and his horses.Janie is survived by her son; Jacky Robison and his wife, Dina; daughter, Jennifer Duffey and her husband, David; grandchildren, Blake Robison, Jaci Robison, Mary Ammon Duffey and Bethany Ann Duffey; sisters, Michee Roy, Paula Powers, Deborah Bailey and Cara Lee; and her mother, Myrtice Lee. She was preceded in death by her father, Coy Lee and a sister, Velda Ann Head. She spent over 50 years teaching and mentoring children in the Ouachita Parish School System. She loved God and Graceminster Presbyterian Church, spending time with her family, and shared James love of horses.A reception following the services will be held at the church.
