Funeral services for Jacqueline “Jackie” Louise James Hatten, 80, of Chatham, LA will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. Robbie Lawson. Interment will follow in Zoar Cemetery in Chatham, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
A visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston.
Jackie was born August 8, 1943, in Caldwell Parish and passed away on March 24, 2024, in Monroe, LA. Her hobbies included fishing and cooking and she loved having a cup of coffee on the porch every morning. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Beulah Franklin James; siblings, Earl Franklin, T. J. James, Malcolm “Mannyboy” James, Tina James Robemed, Gail Neely, and Leola James.
She is survived by her husband, Elsworth “Cooter” Hatten, of Chatham; children, John Skains, of Downsville; Elisha Treadway, of Chatham; Helen Cruse (Randall), of Sterlington; Catina Hammons (Jamie), of Quitman; Diedre Witte, of Sarasota, FL; Vince Hatten, of Sarasota, FL; Lamar Medaries (Angela), of West Monroe; and Tammy Parker, of West Monroe; siblings, Wayne James, of Monroe; Jesse “ Buddy” James, of Columbia; Huey Bayles, of Monroe; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Skains, Jamie Hammons, Lonnie Antley, Richard Roberts, Lamar Medaries, and Michael Pool.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Francis Specialty Hospital for the care that she received. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
