Funeral Services for J. E. Hobson, 65, of Sterlington, LA, owner and operator of Hobson wrecking yard will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 4, 2007 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Officiating will be Rev. Victor Carter and Larry Carter, Jr. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. J.E. Hobson was born on March 25, 1941 in Monroe, LA, and passed away January 1, 2007. Mr. Hobson is survived by his wife, Omie Hobson of Sterlington; four daughters, Kathy Roberson and husband, Gene of Sterlington, LA; Marcy Casper and husband, Shannon of Farmerville, LA; Johnnie Lortz and husband, Jimmy of Sterlington, LA; Cindy Bridges and husband, Brad of Sterlington, LA; 5 grandchildren, Gerard Roberson, Ashley Roberson, Dusti Dunham, Devin Lortz and Brandon Bridges, 8 brothers and sisters, Patsy Slayton, Jimmy Hobson, Darlene Carter, Tommy Hobson, Judy Carter, Jerry Hobson, Ronnie Hobson, and Reggie Hobson, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be his brothers and brother-in-laws. Honorary pallbearer will be Gerard Roberson. Daddy will be missed very much.
