On February 25, 2016, Ila Elizabeth Davis Roach went to be with her heavenly father at the age of 95. She was the widow of James Hilton Roach.Elizabeth was born in Sibley, Louisiana on August 19, 1920 the daughter of Elbert Marion Davis and Lizzy Jane ONeal Davis. She graduated from Choudrant High School and attended Louisiana Tech. She was employed at ONeal Butane and worked as a bookkeeper.She belonged to Alabama Presbyterian Church and the Women of the Church. She enjoyed going with the Lunch Bunch. Elizabeth enjoyed embroidery and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed reading to her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kind heart and beautiful smile.She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Haddad of Monroe, LA; two sons, James E. Roach and wife Sherry of Haynesville, LA, Robert David Roach and Beckie of Sibley, LA; grandchildren, James David Roach and wife Dawn of Roswell, GA; Angela Tuggle of Roswell, GA, Kayla Winham and husband Marvin of Magnolia, TX, Robert Hilton Roach and wife Kim of Sibley, LA; nine great grandchildren, Jacob Roach, Jonah Roach, Jonathan Roach, Chandler Tuggle, Charlie Tuggle, Stephen Winham, Philip Winham, Matthew Roach, and Anna Roach; brother-in-law R. D. Junior Roach. She was predeceased by her parents and husband, James Hilton Roach, brother, William ONeal Davis; sisters, Theadoeia Mercer, Maron F. Baker, and Leila Maude Holmes.Visitation will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:45pm at Alabama Presbyterian Church. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm at the church with Dr. Allison Moody officiating with interment at the Sibley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston LA.Pallbearers will be James David Roach, Jacob Roach, Robert Roach, Marvin Winham, Stephen Winham, and Philip Winham.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alabama Cemetery fund or Alabama Presbyterian Church.The family of Elizabeth would like to extend a very special thank you for the love and care given to her by the staff of Ruston Nursing and Rehab Hall A. A very special thanks to Jeanene for the loving care given to our Nana.
