Hubert B. Hayden Funeral services for Hubert B. Hayden, 79, of Dubach, LA will be 10:00 A. M. Monday, August 20, 2007 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston. Officiating the services will be Rev. Barry Joyner. Interment will follow in Hamilton Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Hubert was born January 15, 1928 in Dubach and died August 16, 2007 in Clairborne Parish. He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman. Hubert was a U. S. Veteran of World War II where he served as an MP while stationed in Germany. For over 20 years he was Chief of Police in Dubach and was an employee of the city of Dubach for 27 years. He is survived by his daughter, Sandi Hayden Peace of Kilgore, TX; son, Glenn Taylor of Concordia, NC; step-daughter, Linda Johnson of Dubach; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; his fianc© Susan Copeland; sisters, Mozelle Brooks and husband Winston of Doyline; Jaquatta Tubbs and husband Curtis of Ruston; brothers, Arthur Hayden and wife Clara of Bastrop; Robert Hayden and wife Diane of Doyline; James Hayden of Doyline; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Guarantee Bank of Dubach for a permanent plaque to commemorate his years of service as police chief of Dubach. This plaque will be permanently housed at the Town Hall in Dubach. Pallbearers will be Monty Sharp, Steve Hayden, Aaron Cox, Robert Hayden, Caleb Arthur Hayden, and Tony White.
