Funeral services for Helen Rice will be held at  12:00 PM, Saturday, October 14, 2023, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Bro. Joel Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband James E. Rice the love of her life for 61 years; her parents Arthur and Agnes Jones;  son James D. Rice; sister Marie Tolbert; brother Buck Jones.

Helen is survived by her daughter Debbie and husband Steve Poe of Eros, LA; daughter-in-law Belinda Gail Rice; grandchildren Christina Purvis and husband Randall Purvis of Calhoun, LA; David Poe and LaDonna Smith and husband Kenneth and Amy  May; great-grandchildren Aidan Purvis, Abigayle Purvis, Emory Poe, Brianna Cooper and husband Sean; 2 great-great grandchildren Presley and Rhett; sisters; Tootsie Patten, DeJuan Mason and Bobbie Parker, Jonesville, LA.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Evans, Matt Little, Kenny Mason, Michael Eldridge, Frank Henry and Andy Mason.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be David Poe, Steve Poe, Randy Purvis, Aidan Purvis, Mac Jones, Tim Tolbert and Ricky Patten.
