Memorial services for Helen L. Osborne will be held, Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time.Helen L. Osborne, age 88, of West Monroe, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2024, with family at her bedside. Born in Ithaca, New York, Helen grew up on a farm with five brothers, where she developed her love for animals and the outdoors.After High School she earned an Associate Degree in Nursing at the University of the State of New York and set out to California to start a new life. It was there that Helen met the love of her life, Bob Osborne, a handsome U.S. Marine from West Monroe, Louisiana, whom she married. After moving to and settling in West Monroe, Helen worked at, and eventually retired from, Swanson Center for Youth, as an LPN.She was a talented artist and had a passion for painting, especially mountain & woodland scenes, as well as horses and Native American culture. She delighted in flowers and could arrange them beautifully. As an animal lover, Helen had a lifetime of dedicated dogs at her side. She loved the outdoors and gave names to the many birds and squirrels that visited her while she sat on her front porch daily. Above all, she loved God, adored her children, and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grands.

Helen L. Osborne is preceded in death by her husband, Bob B. Osborne; daughter, Linda Renee Godina; parents, William and Marion Woodin; and brothers.

Left here to miss her and honor her legacy are her daughter, H. Kim Perez, California; son, Keith Osborne and wife, Melanie, West Monroe, La;daughter Elizabeth Osborne Hardwick and husband, Alton, West Monroe, La; son-in-law, Monico “Nick” Godina, Monroe, La; grandchildren, Bobby John Godina and wife, Brandi; Misti Godina and Brannon Williams; Gabriel Perez and wife, Sarah; Rafael “BigMatt” Oyola and wife, Katie; Jeremy Osborne and wife, Amanda; Joshua Osborne and wife Gabrielle; Jacob Osborne and wife Sara; and great grandchildren, Tyler, Gage, Braxton, EllaRae, Mackailyn, Elizabeth, Gabrielle, Rafael, and Baby Osborne on-the-way.
