Funeral services for Hansel R. “Winkey” Wilson, age 61, of Bernice, LA., will be Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. at the Pisgah Baptist Church with Brother Eric Harkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation will be held at 5:00-7:00 P.M., Monday, March 16, 2020, at Pisgah Baptist Church.
Hansel Rueben left us to go home to his Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2020. He was a faithful husband, father, and deacon of Pisgah Baptist Church. His heart lay with his family and teaching children about Jesus through multiple ministries.
Survivors include his wife, Susan James Wilson of Bernice, LA., his two sons: Daniel Rueben Wilson of Albany, LA (Mary Marie Wilson), and Joshua Max Wilson of Norfolk, VA (Skye Ross Wilson), brother: Earl Wilson, Jr., (Renee J. Wilson), brother-in-law: Michael Schattgen (Sharilyn J. Schattgen), and mother-in-law: Peggy Morgan Inman, granddaughters: Brookelynn Marie, Sofia Rose, Maxis Lydia, Calista Nyte, and Riley Elisabeth Wilson, nephews, and nieces: Jeremy Wilson (Tonia), Michael Jerome Wilson (Avery), Amber Stewart (Michael), Stacey Schattgen, and Ashley Schattgen, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be sent to Pisgah Baptist Church, 113 Pisgah Church Road, Bernice, LA. 71222.
