Mrs. Hannah Mae Lucas McCarter Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Mae Lucas McCarter, 91, a resident of Calhoun, La., will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 31, 2007, in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe with Brother Mike Thompson and Brother Dan Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Mrs. McCarter was born April 20, 1916, in Columbia, La., and passed away July 28, 2007, in Calhoun, La. Mrs. McCarter was a lifelong resident of Ouachita Parish and retired from F.W. Woolsworth as a Fountain Manager in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. McCarter was a Charter member of Faith Baptist Church, she served in the Army Air Corp from January 1943 till July 1947 as a Corporal, while serving her country she received the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII. She is survived by her daughter in law, Nadine McCarter and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, John Raymond McCarter, III and three sisters and three brothers. Pallbearers will be Ricky Watley, Smokey Lucas, Terry Hammett, Gary Hammett, Jason Lucas, Scotty Hammett. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Faith Baptist Church The family would like to give special thanks to Charlotte Musch, Terry Kramer, Louisiana Hospice, United Home Health Care and Dr. Robert Ewing. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, July 30, 2007, at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
