A gathering to celebrate the life of Glenn Doyle Wilbanks II will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home~Monroe.
Doyle was born on November 18, 1959 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away suddenly on April 6, 2022 in Monroe, Louisiana. He lived a simple life, loved hunting, fishing and baseball, and was proud of his daughters and all of his grandchildren. Doyle, better known as “Pops”, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and showing them everything he knew. As a former ballplayer, he supported all the kids at their games and enjoyed watching Neville baseball when he got the chance. “Long story short”, Doyle would just want family and friends to celebrate his life. He will be late to his own funeral! He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Doyle Wilbanks; sister, Glenda Renee Wilbanks.
Doyle is survived by his three daughters, Alicia Renee Wilbanks Poynter and husband Gary, Kristen Marie Wilbanks DePrang and husband Heath, Brittany Danielle Wilbanks Pearce and husband Tipton; grandchildren, Ryleigh Mikal Poynter, Gavin Levi Poynter, Cayden Patrick DePrang, Sawyer Brynn Poynter, Colby Glenn DePrang, Asher Layne Poynter, Harper Rae Poynter, Jack Tipton Pearce, Maddox Doyle Poynter, and one on the way; mother, Patsy Patterson Wilbanks; sisters, Dawn Wilbanks Toups and husband Jon, Wendy Wilbanks Marsh and husband Mack; nephews, Jon Nathan Toups, Zachry Walker Toups, Cole Patterson Marsh, Samuel Ray Marsh; niece, Taylor Armond Toups and many other cherished family and friends.
