Funeral services for Glen Ray Stevens, 83, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Johnny Holyfield officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Glen was born May 31, 1937 in Point, LA and passed away January 24, 2021. He worked at Selig Manufacturing as an upholsterer for over 35 years, and he also worked at the News-Star and Certex USA. Glen was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Stevens and Martha Nolan Stevens; sister Reese Stevens. He loved softball, volley ball and umpired for many years. Glen was a member of Faith Christian Church.
Glen is survived by his wife of 63 years Kay Stevens; son Walter Stevens and wife Hazel; daughter Wendy Taylor and husband Joel; grandchildren Dylan Stevens and wife Scarlett, Caleb Deason and fiancé Katie Pogue, Seth Taylor and Zachary Taylor; great-grandchild Lila Blair; sister Lucille Littleton and husband Peck; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joel Taylor, Dylan Stevens, Seth Taylor, Caleb Deason and Lee Duffey.
Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Holyfield.
