Gladys was born July 8, 1929 in Whiteface, Texas and passed away July 24, 2023 in West Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents Veaston and Bertha White; husbands J L Keyes and Harold Roberts ; brothers; Thomas White, Dewey White and Robert White.
Our mother led a life guided by her Christian faith for 94 years which were recently celebrated at home with her family. She loved her family and was never happier than when holding one of the babies. She lived for many years in Monroe and moved to Waterproof, LA where she co-owned the Waterproof Variety Store with her husband, J.L. After retirement they moved to Rayville where she was very active in the Rayville Hospital Auxiliary. Her hobbies were many as she loved dressmaking, quilting, oil painting, doll making, china painting and canning which she enjoyed sharing with her family and friends.
We would like to give heartfelt thanks for the excellent care she received during hospice care at the Guest House with exceptional care from Elara Hospice. Also, many thanks for the years of care from her daughter-in-law, Ann.
