Gladys passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. She was surrounded by family as she left her earthly home to walk to those streets of gold with Jesus. Gladys was born to Alfred and Eva Keith on December 9, 1944. She graduated from Neville High school in 1962, and was a proud tiger fan! She was a Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Deputy for several years. She then went on to manage the Holiday Inn Holidome. Gladys was determined to get her insurance license and then became the manager for the St. Francis Insurance Agency specializing in Medicare supplements. She then went on to establish Gladys Hall Insurance Agency. Her kind and gentle spirit aided her to excel in everything she pursued.
After retirement, she focused on enjoying time with her family and sharing her humorous personality. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and sister. She always made herself available to support family and friends in time of hardships and in great successes. Gladys traveled from coast to coast to be with her children. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing cards, watching the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. She also taught us to be independent, brave, hard-working, and ambitious.
Gladys is survived by husband, Donie Thomas Hall; her children, Ronnia Williamson (Bobby) of Sterlington, LA, Donna Walker of Monroe, LA, Westley Frith (Sharon) of Start, LA; step-daughter, Sheri Saterfiel (Scott); grandchildren, Crystal Caldwell (Bernie), Joseph Foster, Jessica Williamson, Chad Williamson (Lanie), William Frith, Karlee Miller (Brandon), Jared Saterfiel; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Keith (Janet); sister, Helen Parker (Johnny). Also, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Chad Williamson, William Frith, Jamey Keith, Joseph Foster, Bernie Caldwell and Jared Saterfiel.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to St Francis Medical Center CCU, 6th Floor, and the Oaks Nursing Home for their loving and thoughtful care.
