Frost, 92 of Downsville, LA will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church with Rev. Tracey Ables and Rev. Butch Pilcher officiating. Interment will be held at the church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Mrs. Jordan passed away February 10, 2008 at Cornerstone Hospital West Monroe after a courageous battle with diabetes and kidney failure. She was a charter member of the Pleasant Valley Church her father started in the early 1920?s. Over the years she served as Sunday School teacher, church secretary-treasurer, ladies group leader, and choir member. She was always willing to serve her church and community in any capacity. She loved gospel music and sang for many years with her husband in a church quartet. Mrs. Jordan has been a devoted and loving wife, grandmother and a precious saint of God. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Mae Frost, her mother Catherine M. Tanner Frost, brothers and sisters; Herbert Frost, Arthur Buddy Frost, Beatrice Grayson, Verdie Zeagler, Bessie Butler, Wayne Frost and Elmer Frost, daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and G. C. Bearden, a grandson Tony Bearden and her grand son-in-law, James Taylor.Survivors include one son, Deral Jordan of West Monroe; her daughters and son-in-laws,Melvaleen and Jerry Burroughs of West Monroe, Linda and Connie Mack Bearden of Farmerville, LA, her granddaughters, Monica Breedlove of Farmerville, Angela Taylor of West Monroe, one great-granddaughter, Brandi Taylor of West Monroe; one foster grandson, Robert Heckford West Monroe; brother, Clarence Frost and wife Jimmie Sue of Downsville, step-granddaughter, Terri Silmon of Farmerville; and numerous nieces and nephews.Three nieces that were so good to her to the end, Donna Allen and husband Marvin of West Monroe, Maxine Copeland and Dixie Hennington all of Downsville. Mrs. Jordan was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister and neighbor in her community. She taught us all to love God, serve others and very importantly, a lesson in forgiveness. God really blessed her with a long life. She will be missed by all.Pallbearers will be Jerry Glenward Jordan, Kerry Jordan, James Butler, Mark Copeland, Eddie Wayne Frost, and Thomas Hennington.
