Carl & Gerianne Marceaux left a message on July 9, 2007:
Please accept our condolences for your family's loss. I met Mr. Tom as I called him then as a young boy when he worked with my father, Joe Marceaux, at Tech. Mr. Tom always had a joke to share or a kind word to pass along. I remember him as a quiet, patient man who gladly entertained my endless questions. I'm so sorry to read about his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Emory family during this difficult time.

Tom had such a profound impact on so many folks. When I was an undergraduate and graduate student in electrical engineering at La. Tech, Tom was an ever present help and provided the students with the ultimate in service -- and always with a smile and bit of humor. The last time I visited Tech, after he retired, the halls of Nethken seemed a little emptier. Now even more so. My prayer is that you remember the good times, the laughter and the love and that you find healing and peace as you walk through this time.

Yvette, Thomas, Marla, Mark, and Mia I am so saddened to read about Tom's passing. When I read the newspaper I stopped and prayed for you all. I have lost loved ones and I believe the prayers of my friends helped me make it through those first difficult days. I wish I had known sooner and could have come to see you. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Lean on one another, your friends and your Lord and Savior!

Yvette and Family, It has been many years since you guys lived on Sortor Street! I fondly remember all the times of "helping" Tom excavate under your house so he would have a place for all the radio gear. And the kindness, humor, and advice thought my journey growing up and working at Tech together. - Tom was always quick with a smile. Our prayers and condolences go out to you and your family. God Bless!

Yvette and family - I was shocked to see Tom's picture in the paper. Please know that our prayers will be with you as you go through these difficult days. May the God of all peace and mercy, allow the light of His Glory - the light that Tom now enjoys - to shine in your lives, too. Harold and Becky Henderson, Marnie Norris, and Susan Morris.

We send our deepest sympathy and love for the loss of you loved one and my dear friend and classmate. It was so good to meet you at our reunion last year about this time. Judy Williams had e-mailed all of us classmates last week about his illness. We have had him on our prayer list at Church and will continue to keep the family on it. Thomas was such a nice person. I can't think of anything bad that he ever said or did. May you find peace and comfort in the fact that he is back home with our Heavenly Father. Ecclesiastes 12:6, Love in Christ Andrea Peeweeand Jim
Dr. Lee Sawyer left a message on June 2, 2007:
Tom was one of the nicest, hardest working individuals I have ever met. When I first came to LA Tech, we became friends, and I quickly learned that Tom was someone who could be relied on for everything from an op-amp to a network router to a friendly piece of advice. There were many times that Tom and I stood in the parking lot between Nethken and the Engineering Annex and just talked. He was extrmly smart but just as easy going. I am absolutely floored by Tom's passing, and near tears as I type this. It is only the fact that I am out of the country that causes me to leave this online condolance and not be there in person. My thoughts are with Tom's family during this diffcult time.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Emory was one of the nicest men I knew while working at Tech. I am fighting cancer myself right now and wish I could attend the services. Marla was also one of my favorites when she was at Tech and very much reflected her father's outstanding character and friendliness. Again, I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Emory's death and my wife and I will keep the entire family in our prayers.
James & Sherry Jones left a message on June 2, 2007:
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Emory family in the loss of Tom. He was such a vibrant man and loved his family. He will be greatly missed by the Tech family and many other friends.
