Funeral Services for George Keller McClendon, 82, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the The Assembly. Pastor Christopher Miller, Rev. Tim Todd, and Pastor Brad Jackson will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 noon until 1:00 P.M. at the church.
George was born on August 20th, 1940 in West Monroe, Louisiana and went to be with his Lord and Savior in heaven in the early morning of July 6, 2023 in his sleep after praising the Lord with his loved ones the day prior. He is remembered by his community and church family as an ever-constant support. George was a faithful member of First Assembly of God West Monroe from birth. He was known for his beautiful, baritone voice in the sanctuary choir. George’s legacy is his contagious smile that stretched the biggest when he was surrounded by all his girls and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Jane McClendon; daughter, Dewanna “DeeDee” McClendon; parents, John Keller and Daisy Edna Davis McClendon; and sister, Billie Jean Bates Newton.
George is survived by his two daughters, Becky Suttle and husband Keith and Donna Minter and husband Darryl; grandchildren, Brandon Suttle with wife Katie and their children Keller and Bowen, Chase Minter and wife Rebecca and their children, Rylan, Reece, Rhett, and Revel, Kristian Suttle, and Daralyn Pepmiller and husband James; dear nephew and niece, Theron Newton and Melanie Jenkins; and many other cherished family and friends.

A private family graveside service officiated by Rev. Eugene Brown will be held at Acree Cemetery.
