Claire, although I havent seen you all in years, the memories are still fresh. You are all such wonderful people. Your dad was one of the best! I'll never forget the time we were going down to the beach in Inagua, and they said you have to blow the horn first because George is probably sunbathing. Those were special times with very special people. I hope you and your family are doing as well as to be expected through these times, You are in my prayers. Oh, and Proud Mary has been rolling for many, many years. love you, Debbie Godwin Howes

Claire, Truston and family: May God give you comfort in the loss of your father. We all loved George and enjoyed being around him. He was truly a blessing to all who knew him. Even though I had only worked at Morton Salt a very short time in 1969 when we traveled to Inagua on the Cecile, your Mom and Dad extended an invitation for our family to stay in your home over there. That was a very enjoyable time for all. Thanks for being our friend. God bless!!

So sorry to read of George's passing. I just want you to know I am thinking of all of you. I have many fond memories of George & Nelda when we were younger & later when they moved back to Monroe. I am sorry I can't be there, but I don't get around like we use to. You will be in our thoughts & prayers.

To the George Jacobs family, Bro. George was one of the finest men I have known. He brought compassion and peace to members of my family, during the past years, when we were having some "life challenges". I am grateful that I knew him, and I will never forget him. I pray that God will comfort all of you.
