Funeral services for Fred Wigfield, 82, of Farmerville, will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Brother Richard Turnley officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Fred was born December 3, 1929 in New Comerstown, OH and passed away July 21, 2012 in West Monroe, LA. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and retired as a plant manager from ITT Canon Electric. Mr. Wigfield was a member of Farmerville United Methodist Church. Fred loved his family very much. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Florence Wigfield; his first wife Thelma Wigfield; and his sister, Doris Weber. Survivors include his wife, Qureda Wigfield; daughters, Deborah Avila and husband Richard of CA, and Lynette Reed and husband Michael of AR; son, Frederick Wigfield, Jr. of AR; brother, Roger Wigfield of OH; sister, Patricia Keene of AZ; step daughters, Deborah Taylor of Farmerville, LA, and Aline Smead and husband Dave of West Monroe; step sons, Joe Vasquez and wife Michelle of West Monroe, and Walter Stafford and wife Sherry; 18 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers include Bryan Avila, Brandon Wigfield, Michael Reed, Joe Vasquez, Joby Dendy, and Darrel Meyers. Honorary pallbearer will be David Wigfield. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, July 23, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
