Franklin Leo Ott was born on December 17, 1942 in English, Indiana to the parents of Frank and Jesse Ott. He served in the United States Army for six years and then married his wife, Paula Joanne Ott, on November 8, 1966. They made their home in Rocky Branch, Louisiana and started a family. He worked for the United States Postal Service and retired after 33 years. He also worked for D&D Community Connection caring for his disabled grandson, Justin, for 15 years.Frank was a devoted and faithful husband to his wife of 39 years. They enjoyed countless road trips and adventures throughout their life together. He lovingly cared for her until her death in November 2005.Frank enjoyed spending quality time with his family playing games, eating and socializing. He loved watching football and baseball, especially the Saints with his son and grandsons. He was a very humble and giving man who never wanted any recognition for his gifts of love. Our Daddy, Papaw, Uncle Frank, and friend has been greatly loved and will be greatly missed.Frank was preceded in death by his wife Paula Ott, his parents, Franklin Lee Ott, Jesse Ott Watts and stepfather, Raymond Watts, as well as four brothers, Louis, Ray, and Delbert Pipes, Larry Ott, and one sister, Mary Kesler.He was survived by his three children, Penny Ott Bayless and husband Bobby; Jason Ott and wife Melanie; and Cyndi Ott. One sister, Sarah Diveley and husband Joe. Sister in Laws, Laura Pipes and Linda Ott. Grandchildren, Christopher May, Mallory May Calderon and husband Augustin, Brandon Snell and Samantha Guice, Nickie Musgrove, Rebecca Bayless, Robby Bayless, Michael and Kristy Bayless, Brittney Davis and Ulysses Ortiz, Cameron Ott, Nathan Ott, Meagn Meador, Justin Ott, and Jonathan Meador and wife Hannah.
