Funeral services for Frances Reitzell Rader, 87, formerly of Monroe, LA will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA with Dr. John Traylor officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery of Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.Mrs. Rader passed away at Zachary Manor Nursing Home in Zachary, LA on February 11, 2008. She was a retired school teacher from Ouachita Parish School System and a life long resident of Monroe, LA. She was a life long and active member of the First Baptist Church of Monroe where she served many years as a Sunday School teacher and choir member and former president of W. M. U. She was active in the Eastern Star where she served as a Worthy Matron and enjoyed traveling throughout the world.Mrs. Rader was preceded in death by her husband: Charles W. Rader, her parents: Frank V. Reitzell, Sr. and Bernice Welch Reitzell, stepmother: Christine Collins Reitzell and a brother: Doxie Reitzell.She is survived by three Brothers: Frank Reitzell, Jr., Charles Reitzell and Richard Reitzell; her sons and daughter-in-law: Wayne and Nettie Rader of Senern, Maryland, and Steve and Suzanne Rader of Slaughter, LA; her grandchildren: David Rader, Jennifer Rader and Shannon Aldridge; and five great grandchildren.The family would like to thank the staff at Zachary Manor Nursing Home for all their compassion and care throughout the years and a special thanks to Dr. Juan Medina.Visitation will be at Kilpatrick Funeral Home on Lamy Lane in Monroe, Thursday, February 14 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Wow, She was such a wonderful person. Look at every thing she did in her life and all the people she helped and touched with her heart. You should be proud of your Mom. She will always be in your heart. Larry always spoke of her in memories of her kindness and loving ways. I was able to have a nice talk with her just she and I at the wedding at Fort Knox. We seemed to  hit it off right away, and I really enjoyed it. She had a great personality and  the time we spent together left me wanting for more.
