Funeral services for Finn P Heard, 88, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Feazel Chapel of First Baptist Church West Monroe with Rev. Mark Fenn officiating, Interment to follow at Monroe Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mr. Heard was born April 29, 1918 in Farmerville, LA and passed away September 17, 2006 in Shreveport, LA. Mr. Heard served in the United States Army Air Corp in the South Pacific during World War II and received a purple heart for his service. He was a member of First Baptist Church West Monroe for over 49 years. Mr. Heard is survived by his wife Kathryn Duffey Heard; 5 children: Jimmy M. Lee and wife Linda, Charles Heard and wife Ginger, Kathy Lawrence, Janice Holdiness and husband Harvey, and Larry C. Heard; 2 sisters: Anna Belle Pope and Lillie Jean Pittman; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA
