I am just now seeing this but wanted to say something special about Evelyn. I have known her sinceI was a small child. She and Billy lived next door to us on North Monroe St back in the 1950's . My father worked for T.L. James right out of LA Tech and moved into this duplex owned by T L James. They gave me a pet squirrel while we lived there. Both Evelyn and Billy were lovely, gracious people and I always enjoyed seeing them at church. The last time I saw Evelyn was at my Dad's funeral in 2012. I know you will miss her terribly .

To the family of Ms. Evelyn James:I would like to express my condolences to you for the loss of your mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love. Even if you feel they lived a long and enjoyable life. But the Bible holds out a hope that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one, right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions. Jesus promised at John 5:28,29 that millions now dead will live again and have the prospect of remaining on the earth forever. And since Jesus made this promise, we can assume that he is willing to fulfill it. When he was on earth, he resurrected his friend, Lazarus. And this miracle serves to increase faith in Jesus' ability to resurrect our loved ones in the future. Imagine the joy when Ms. James is brought back to life and reunited with her loved ones here on earth. And she will also have the prospect of regaining her youthful vigor and living a healthy life forever.

Mrs James lived a long and productive life. All the illnesses that plague mankind are a result of Adam's sin. When he and Eve sinned they passed on to us old age and sickness and death. We,are their inherited offspring. Jesus redeemed us by his sacrificial death. 1st Corinthians 15:22 says just as in Adam all are dying so also in the Christ all will be made alive.
