Evelyn Phelps Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Phelps, 81 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Conway Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. Tony Campanale under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Evelyn was born on February 4, 1931, in New Edinburg, AR; and passed away on January 26, 2013, in Farmerville, LA after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband: Huey P. Gray, and son, Richard Vick. She retired from the Union Parish School Board and was a long-time local restaurant owner of Town House Restaurant in Farmerville. She is survived by her husband: George Duck Phelps of Farmerville, LA; daughter: Charlotte Ann Ray and husband Nelson of Springhill, LA; Kathy Albritton and husband Loye of Farmerville, LA; daughter-in-law: Pat Vick of Farmerville, LA; grandchildren: Troy Ray, Charlotte Patterson; Shane Vick, Clint Ray and wife Kim, Asilan Vick, Hunter Vick, Derek Albritton and wife Candace; nine great-grandchildren and other family members: Richard and Melba Phelps and family; Barry and Kim Phelps and family. Mrs. Phelps was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. The distance she would go for all her children was beyond measure. Visitation will be held Monday, January 28, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.
