Dear Susan: Mother saw your Mother's obituary notice and told me about it. I am really sorry to hear of her passing. I remember her as being such a beautiful lady. I can remember her from our very early childhood. I did not know you'll had moved. I know you are glad to be near your children. My Mother's life is very limited now. She has been diagnosed with lung cancer last October. She is still at home though. She is 89. I had run into your Mother at the drug store and visited with her shortly a year or so ago. I had to explain who I was. That is not so surprising though. I know you will miss her very much. I am dreading the day when my Mother will be gone. It's not far away. Send your new email address. Enjoy your family now that you'll are in N.C.

I have warm memories of Aunt Evelyn - always quiet and beautiful, and Uncle Lloyd who wore warm sweaters and smoked a pipe if I remember correctly. I really wish that I could of known all of my Stewart side of the family more. But, I am so thankful that my sister, Kathy and I, got to come a few years ago to Monroe and we visited with Aunt Evelyn and Susan and Scott. I will always be grateful for that afternoon. I will pray for all of the family for their loss. Much Love to all of you. Carol

Scott and Susan and families, I am very sorry for your loss and grieve with you. I have many memories from my earliest childhood through adulthood of your mother's generosity and compassion toward me and my sister. I am so thankful for the visit we made together to see her a few years ago. I will never forget or cease to be grateful for her many kindnesses to me personally and to my children. Love, Kathy

Aunt Evelyn has always held a very special place in my heart. Visiting her and Uncle Lloyd at their home was an adventure for me as a child, it was filled with such warmth. She's been in my thoughts recently, which leads me to believe she was coming to say goodbye to me. I love her very much, and her spirit will forever live in my very fond memories. My most sincere condolences to all the rest of the family during this difficult time.
