Funeral services for Erline Bagwell will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Dr. Woods Watson will be officiating. Interment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery, Bastrop, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Mere words cannot do justice to the person that she was or to what she meant to all of us. She will continue to be a role model for all of us. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. She was a true lady who dearly loved her family and all those around her. She loved decorating her home and working in her yard. She loved making things beautiful. Erline was a devout member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe with a true faith in her Lord. She loved her church and her Sunday School Class.Erline was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton O. Bagwell, a sister Lorraine and husband Clark Ramsaur of Ruston and her grandson, Bruce Miller of Baton Rouge.Erline is survived by her daughters, Gerry Miller of Baton Rouge, Helene and husband Tom Blackwell of Denham Springs, LA. She had 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 1:00 PM until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com

What a beautiful lady! Erline was joyous. She had a smile and laugh that will always be remembered. I am always thankful she introduced me to the Mitford series books by Jan Karon. We enjoyed talking about Father Tim and all the characters. I do not often look at the obituaries and I am so thankful God directed me to this today so that I could share in her remembrance. She touched my heart deeply. I would have adopted her as family in a heartbeat because she always treated everyone else like family. Erline is singing a song of joy in heaven today because she loved the Lord and loved Jesus. She let people know that and that is special too. I look forward to seeing her smile again when I join her in heaven.
