Mrs. Emma Bayne Snipe Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA, 71270 Funeral service for Mrs. Emma Bayne Snipe, age 90, of Ruston, will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM. The visitation will precede the funeral from noon to 2:00 PM on the same Thursday. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Emory of Long Straw Baptist Church. Mrs. Snipe was born January 8, 1920 and passed away December 27, 2010 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Snipe; infant son: Willie Noel; parents: W.O Bayne and Beulah McCullin Bayne. She is survived by her children: Buleah Hayes- Rockholt and Lillie Ann Snipe- Smith and husband Steven Smith; grandchildren: Steven Bayne and wife Angela, Emma Yvonne Douglas and Kimberly Ann Barlow; great grandchildren: Elly Krueger, Calvin Whitmore, Jon Bayne, Leah Pickels, Jesse Bayne, Austin Bayne and Morgan LaPrarie; great great grandchildren: Tyler, Nevaeh, Gideon, Trystan, Gavin and many nieces and nephews. To those special nieces and nephews who were always there a simple thank you is not enough, also a special thanks to all of her attending doctors and nurses. Pallbearers: Steven Smith, Richard Snipe, Bill Davis, Johnny Mitchell, Sammy Riser and Robert Temple. Honorary Pallbearers: Steven Bayne, Dan Snipe, Jr, Ralph Barlow and Dr. Richard Ballard. I feel so blessed to have taken care of Ms. Emma during her stay on my floor. She was such a treat, and truly a pleasure to have as a patient. I am so very sorry for your loss, and may God be with the family in this difficult time.

I truely enjoyed taking care of Mrs. Emma while she was on the skilled nursing unit as one of her nurses. I never left the room without her saying "thank u baby". I know she will be grately missed, but i truely believe Mrs.Emma fullfilled her purpose here on earth and it was time for her to recieve her reward for a job well done!

Miss Emma, a sweet, funny, caring lady! I was blessed to know her and am so glad I did! Bea, Steven, Yvonne, Lilly Ann, Steven, Kimberly, Morgan - hugs, hugs, hugs! The time together never seems long enough, eternity with Jesus and Daddy is what MeMaw was looking forward to and is now embracing! She sleeps with the angels! Be ready - so she can welcome you to Heaven with open arms. Know that you will be reunited again! Love to all -

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Aunt Emma was very special. I will never forget her making me cornbread in her special triangle pan, her banana cake at Christmas, the best instant tea ever and visits at the mail box when I was little. So many dear memories. An absolute beautiful lady through and through. I was so sad to see her obituary this morning. She is definitely in a better place. Praying for your family during this time.

The world lost a little sunshine when Aunt Emma went home to Jesus. I loved her so much and will miss her presence greatly. I will always hear her voice though admonishing me to "take care of my brother." She is forever in my heart.

So sorry for your loss, Mrs. Snipe was a true Lady. I will always have fond memories of her.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Aunt Emma's family. She was a wonderful woman and I know she will be missed dearly. Her brother, W.O. Bill Bayne is my grandfather.
