Emma Lee Penuell BakerKilpatrick Funeral HomeRuston, LAFuneral services for Emma Lee Penuell Baker, age 93, of Choudrant will be held at 10:00 A.M Wednesday March 12, 2008 at Alabama Presbyterian Church in Sibley. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bill Willis and Dr. Marshall Boyd. Interment will follow at the Sibley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.Mrs. Baker passed away at Lincoln General Hospital, Sunday, after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Baker; her parents: John Will and Emma Penuell; her brothers: Lane and Monard Penuell; sister: Evelyn Medaries and niece Sue Sanderson.She is survived by her two children: Ronny Baker and wife Dawn of Choudrant, Johnette Upchurch and husband John E. of Dubach; six grandchildren: Randy Upchurch of Sterlington, Suzy Jiles of Choudrant, Tracy Renfrow of Golden, Co. and Emily Wingfield of Sterlington, Clay Baker of Choudrant and Justin Baker of Baton Rouge; eleven great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces, and nephews. Her dedication to her church and her family was a source of joy and pride in her life as were her many lifelong friendships. Dedication to those she loved defined her life. The family would like to extend a special thanks to those at Alpine Health Care, Dr Wayne Owens, Dr. Ballard, and her nurses at Lincoln General Hospital for their special care. A very special thanks goes also to Nadine Rogers and Yvonne Austin for their love, care, and support the last few months of her life.
