Rachel Pylant left a message on August 11, 2007:
To Elvie's children: Your mother was the rock & foundation of your family. She was a sounding board for each of you without judgement or opinion. The fact that she'd allow me to stand in the middle of a dept store and tearfully tell her how much I loved her son and how sorry I was for hurting him without saying a word when she really probably just wanted to tell me off said worlds for what kind of person she was. We all will make mistakes in our lives but some will go with us to our graves. We all will regret the paths we have taken that caused pain to those we love. I certainly pray and cry for the mistakes I've made that have hurt others each and every day. I am so sorry for the pain and suffering your mom experienced and for the pain you have experienced. And I truly wish I could make up for the pain that I have caused your brother and his family. Your mom was loved and will be missed.
