Elsie Montgomery Bennett On April 26, 2006 our earthly angel Elsie Montgomery Bennett became our heavenly angel. She was born in Cass County Michigan on November 27, 1926 to Orvin F. Montgomery and Margaret Worden Montgomery. On July 8, 1944 she married the love of her life Harvel Bennett and became a true Southern girl. She worked as a lunchroom Manager at Doyline High School in Doyline, La. for many years. In her retirement she worked at Ken≠s Mini Mart in Choudrant, La. She was a member of Longstraw Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and caregiver to her husband and her children. She has gone to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, her husband Harvel, her daughter Noreen Bennett Rutledge, her great-granddaughter Kristen Danielle Lonadier, her parents, four sisters, five brothers, and many other loved ones. Left to cherish all the loving memories and happy hours she gave us are her children: Kathleen and Winfred Lonadier of Goldonna, La., Dorothy and Charles ¨Buddy Williams of Choudrant, La., Belinda and Jim Pesnell of Choudrant, La., Harvel James and Gail Bennett of Homer, La., and Melodye Hooper of Minden, La., sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and was anticipating the birth of two additional great-grandchildren this summer. She also leaves behind many relatives and friends including Ken and JoAnn Brooks of Choudrant, La. As it says on Harvel and Elsie≠s tombstone ¨No hearts more loving, no arms more comforting, no memories more precious. Visitation will be at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston on Friday, April 28, 2006 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Brother Jimmy Eppinette officiating. Burial will follow at Sibley Cemetery beside Alabama Presbyterian Church. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Memorials may be made to Longstraw Baptist Church.
