Funeral Services for Elna Elizabeth Kavanaugh Willis, 93, of Ruston will be 10:00 AM Tuesday June 6, 2006 in the Burkhater Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church of Ruston. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Willis died Saturday June 3, 2006 in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Willis was born June 24, 1912 in Clay, LA. She was retired from the U.S. Postal service after 40 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a member of the Miriam Circle. Mrs. Willis was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Ladies ≠ Auxiliary of Lincoln General Hospital, and the Green Thumb Garden Club of Ruston. She was an avid bridge player. Mrs. Willis is preceded in death by her husband, Prentiss N. Willis, Sr., daughter, Elna Jean Pennington and grandson, Jason K. Willis. Survivors include two sons; Prentiss N. Wills, Jr. of Ruston, LA, and Howard M. Willis of Winston-Salem, NC. Daughter; Martha Willis Till of Shreveport, LA. Sister; Linda K. Rolf of Ruston, LA. Six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Pall bearers will be James F. Pennington, John F. Pennington, William J. Till, Schubert H. Wills and Anthony Pounders. The family requests memorials be made to The Louisiana Methodist Children≠s Home in Ruston. Visitation will be Monday, June 5, 2005 from 5:00PM until 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
