Ms. Elizabeth Miller Herter, 91, of Downsville, LA was born on December 10, 1932, in Simsboro, LA and passed away peacefully on February 28, 2024, in West Monroe, LA.

Ms. Herter was a member of the Urbana Baptist Church in Urbana, Arkansas.  She was a bookkeeper for many years, and she loved flowers, sewing, and doing crafts.  Ms. Herter is preceded in death by her parent, Proctor and Ida Miller; her daughter, Sheryl Ann Dixon; and sister, Margaret Hill.

She is survived by her sons, Procter Dixon and wife Grace of Lebanon, OR; Roy Addison Dixon of Downsville, LA; David Ralph Dixon and wife Penny of Farmerville, LA; grandchildren, Paul Dixon, Kenneth Dixon, Joey Dixon, Joshua Dixon, Samuel Dixon, Ashley Dixon, Stephanie Dixon, and Corey Dixon; great grandchildren, Alex Dixon, Eric Dixon Karson Dixon, Landen Dixon, and Serenity Dixon; brothers, Louie Miller and wife Janece, Ruston, LA and Kenneth Miller and wife Jeanette of Eldorado, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a Graveside Service for the general public at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 8, 2024, at Walnut Creek Cemetery in Simsboro, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.
