Elbert was born on February 23, 1926 in Harriston, MS and passed away on September 10, 2022 in West Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd W. Costley; mother, Zenobia Harrington Costley; sister, Dorothy Costly Ellefson; brother, Floyd Walker Costley; and his son, Grant who died in Vietnam.
Elbert was raised in Fayette, MS and was a WW II Navy Veteran. In the 1950’s he worked as a model, and was under contract with Twentieth Century Fox in Hollywood, California. He was a devoted father, son, brother, and animal activist. He enjoyed his solitude and a good book!
