Funeral services for Mr. Edward “Pete” Lee, Jr., 78, of Monroe, LA will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 9, 2008 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Swartz. Officiating will be Father Job Edathinattu and interment will follow at Monroe Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mr. Lee was born April 28, 1929 in Homer, LA and passed away February 7, 2008 in Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop, LA after a lengthy illness. He was retired from the Monroe Police Department with 30 years of service. He also was a founding member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus of Swartz. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lee, Sr., mother, Irma “Lee” Teal and sister, Lola Fitts. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife: Norma “Elee” Lee; son: Roger G. Lee; sisters: Matilda Jones of Midland, TX, Jane Williams of Breaux Bridge, LA, and Flossie LeBlanc of Duson, LA; brothers: Milton Lee of West Monroe, LA, Andy Lee of Calhoun, LA and John Lee of Swartz, LA and many loved one's. Pallbearers will be: Jackie D. Elee, Jr., Jason Elee, Kerry Elee, Raymond Lee, Roger Lee, and Gary Fitts. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. Robert E. Lyon, Harry Petty, Bill Webb, and members of the Monroe Police Reserves. Memorials may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church Building Fund or St. Vincent DePaul Community Pharmacy. Visitation will be 12:00 Noon until 1:30 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.
