Funeral services for Mr. Edward E. Pace 89 of West Monroe are 2:00 PM, Friday, November 12, 2010 at Living Way Apostolic Church with Rev. Nathan Thornton and Rev. Carl Shurte officiating. Interment follows at Hasley Cemetery of West Monroe under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mr. Pace was born September 13, 1921 in Eros, LA to Walker Winston Pace and Harmor Lane Walpole Pace, and passed away November 10, 2010 in Monroe. He retired as a shift supervisor with Manville in September 1982. He served in the US Army during World War II where he was on the first wave of soldiers on Omaha Beach on D-Day and received the Purple Heart for wounds received during the Battle for France in August, 1944. Mr. Pace is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Sybil Lovelady Pace; daughters, Linda Patron and husband, Ray; Shirley Manning and husband, Elton, Cathy Salsbury and husband, Rusty; grandchildren, Stephanie Broom, Lorie Carter and husband, David, Chad Manning and wife, Shara, and Amy and Allison Salsbury; great-grandchildren; Brittany Broom, Hannah and Nicholas Carter, and Kayla and Wendi Manning; brothers and sister, Wilbur Pace and wife, Betty, Wilford Pace and wife, Myra, and Annette Bedgood and husband, Charlie. Pallbearers are William Page, Chad Manning, Alsey Franks, Kenny Howard, Willie Kerrigan and Tommy Hendrix. Visitation is Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Living Way Apostolic Church, Jonesboro Highway, West Monroe, LA.
