Edsel Pierre Hogg was born December 14, 1949 in Georgetown, LA and passed away March 12, 2021 in West Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Blanchard Hogg; mother, Helen Bernice Alexander Hogg; brother, Richard Todd Hogg; sister, Patricia Avant; and daughter, Krystal Gayle Morgan.
Edsel is survived by his wife of 34 years, Iris Hogg; sisters, Genae Fields, LaNelle Richardson, Connie Crowell, Marilyn Alger and Jo Ann Partin; his children, Virginia (Kelvin) Carraway, Sarah (Sydney) Robinson, Edsel“Bo” (Keisha) Hogg, Sampson (Karen) Bradley, and Daniel (Terra) Lucas; 17 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Edsel was a veteran of the United States Army 101st Airborne Division and was a retired riverboat captain for Kirby Marine.
