Funeral services for Edsel “Sonny” Ewing, 89, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 25, 2023 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Interment will follow at Chatham Cemetery, Chatham, LA. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Edsel was born March 31, 1933 and passed from this life on Monday March 20, 2023. Edsel “Sonny” was a retired accountant for the West Monroe Paper Mill. He was an avid hunter and spent many days in the woods. Edsel had taken many deer, elk and squirrels in his lifetime. He was a quiet man and liked to do everything by himself. Edsel was preceded in death by his parents, John E. Ewing and Clemis Martin Ewing. Edsel served in the United States Air Force.
Edsel is survived by his sisters, Marjorie Duval and Deardean “Deanie” Ewing ; brother Edward “Ed” Ewing and wife Karen; three nephews Keith Ewing and wife Shuanna, John Duval, Clinton Duval and wife Debbie; niece Jennifer (Ewing) Hollis and husband Doug; numerous nieces and other relatives and friends.
