Funeral services for Edna Spencer Whitten, age 78, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 20, 2011, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Bro. Roger Baker will be officiating. Interment will follow at Lynn Cemetery Archibald, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. Whitten was born October 28, 1932 in Richland Parish, LA and passed away March 16, 2011 in West Monroe. Mrs. Whitten was preceded in death by husband, Namon F. Whitten daughter, Debra Faye Caples her brother, Charles E. Spencer. Mrs. Whitten is survived by her daughter, Kaye Frost and husband, Rickey and a son, Namon F. Whitten and Cissy; grandchildren, Tabitha Caples, Candie Rowton and husband, Chad , Brandy Caples, Nicole Ozark and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Josie Dupree, Jakob and Austin Rowton, Sidnie and Samuel Ozark; brother, Jerry Spencer and wife, Debbie and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jerry Spencer, Billy Whitten, Joseph Dupree, Chad Rowton, Randall Hutson, Chris Ozark. Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Spencer and Jakob Rowton. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Cornerstone Hospital and Dr. Shafiei. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mamaw you will always be in our hearts.
