John 3:16 Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Howard, 86 of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 16, 2007 in the Feazel Chapel at the First Baptist Church West Monroe, LA with Rev. Mark Fenn and Rev. Charles Martindale officiating. Burial will be in Monroe Memorial Park Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Mrs. Howard passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007. She was born December 14, 1920 in Bastrop, La to Benjamin Franklin Johnston and Annie Mae Shaw Johnston. Mrs. Howard was a member of First Baptist Church, West Monroe and the ¨Encouragers Sunday School Class led by Mrs. Hazel Kirkland. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Travis B. Howard; parents, Benjamin Franklin and Annie Mae Shaw Johnston of Bastrop, brothers, Eugene Johnston of West Monroe and E.C. Johnston of Springhill, LA; sisters, Bernice Milliken , Springhill, Mae Halley, Shirley Smith, Emma Culp all of Monroe. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Barney F. ¨Scooter and Vickie Howard of West Monroe; grandson, Travis Brady Howard; granddaughter, Staci Howard Hogan and husband Charles Hogan, Jr., great-granddaughters, Julia Blair Hogan and Georgia Howard Hogan, all of West Monroe; one sister, Willie C. Midyett of Shreveport, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be George Camp, Travis Brady Howard, Jerry Culp, Billy Bell, Presley Parks, Horace Williken and Tommy Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Ivy Redding, Carl White, Johnny Wilbanks, Harvey Marcus, Dr. Jerry Johnston, Dr. Don Hammett, Ben Johnston, Jimmy Snyder, Cliff Snyder and Joe Tremaine of Los Angeles , California. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to First Baptist Church of West Monroe.
