Earl Cole, Sr.

July 29, 1930 - July 23, 2010

Funeral services for Earl Lamar Cole Sr., 79, will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 27, 2010, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, LA. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens with Rev. John Lymer and Rev. David Abshire officiating. Mr. Cole was born July 29, 1930 in Stanton, MS and passed away Friday, July 23, 2010, in Glenwood Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mr. Cole loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was always ready to help anyone in need, an avid watcher of the weather, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and his flowers showed his “green thumb” talents. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and a granddaughter. Surviving Mr. Cole are his wife of 55 years, Anita Peters Cole; children and spouses, Nelwyn Ronnie Wood, Bobby Pat Tidwell, Lamar Susan Cole, Karen Gary Cox, and Mark Harris; one sister, Patsy Cole; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Monday, July 26th at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
