Dufferin M. Frantom “Duffy” passed away on October 23, 2022 in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was born on December 29, 1954 in Monroe, Louisiana. He was 67 years old and was preceded in death by his parents Danny and Marlene Frantom, and his brother Benny Frantom.

Duffy was an avid Ham Radio Operator and was the District Emergency Coordinator for Northeast Louisiana. He was a volunteer with the Ouachita Parish Office of Homeland Security and the American Red Cross. He was a proud member of Patriot Guard Riders.

Duffy is survived by his sister Teresa Frantom Bass and her husband Bob; nieces Shelly Witherington and her husband Bo, Kisha Frantom, Casey Anderson and her husband Wesley, and Brandy Lee; nephew Andrew Bass.

A memorial service will be held at the Ouachita Parish Fire Department Training Center, 1000 New Natchitoches Rd. West Monroe, at 2 PM Friday, November 4, 2022.

My heartfelt condolences to the family. Duffy and I go way back to Metro Ambulance days (1980). He was always an avid radio, scanner, scuba diving and all around patriot for our Veterans. He and my dad would talk about HAM radios for hours. He was involved in a lot with the community and always volunteered to help so many others. Duffy, you will be missed. Fly high my friend.
