Funeral services for Dr. John Coleman Hensley, II, age 79, of Dubach, LA will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach with Rev. Connie Smith officiating the service. Visitation will be Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. until service time. Interment will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA. Dr. Hensley was born on May 31, 1933 in Jasper, TX and died on January 19, 2013 in Dubach, LA. He was a retired veterinarian with the United States Federal Government and he served in the U. S. Army. Dr. Hensley was a beloved husband and father. He will be greatly missed by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas T. Hensley. Dr. Hensley is survived by his wife, Tressie Rives Hensley of Dubach, LA; sons, John C. Hensley, III and wife Sue of Ruston, LA; Mike W. Hensley and wife Debbie of Dubach, LA; Hank Hensley and wife Linda of Scott, LA; daughters, Connie Arcemont of Morgan City, LA; April Hensley of Dubach, LA; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Dear Essie, Hank, and the rest of the family,I have just ready the April 3 edition of the Wall Street Journal. There was an article on page B5 about invisible livestock fencing. I hope you can find it. It sounds as though they have perfected the system first developed by Coleman back in the 70's. Thought it would be a slight chance I could call your attention to it. I found the obituary from 2013 and send my sympathy. I hope the funeral director will be kind enough to forward this to you. I lost John on Feb. 24 of this year after a difficult illness.
