I am writing for my mother, Barbara Vreeland, and myself. Dr Fichter took care of all of my siblings and her husband delivered several of my siblings. She and her husband were excellent doctors who took very good care of us. The Mickey’s were also very good friends and we kept in touch over the years. I also grew up next door to Dr. Fichter and her family. She gave me my first job helping her in her clinic on weekends in the summer when she saw urgent issues. She was an excellent pediatrician and an outstanding roll model. She and her husband raised four very successful children. She definitely will be missed!! Dr. Fichter, rest in peace.

She wrote one of my letters of recommendation for medical school and she took care of my children as their pediatrician when they were growing up after I returned to Monroe. She was an excellent physician and a true friend to all who knew her. She was a legend and will be missed.
