Dottie H. Bennett, resident of Baton Rouge passed away on 8/15/2011. She was born in Echo, LA on Sept. 13, 1922. She was a native of W Monroe and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband Luther M. Bennett, Jr., grandsons, Kevin Northcutt, Michael Fournet and Bryan Adams, Sisters, Myrtle Dickey and Lee Horsh. Survived by her daughters, Charlotte A. Gordy and husband Ricky, Baton Rouge, Barbara L. Adams, W. Monroe and son, Charles L. Adams, Zachary, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. In Sept. 2006, she came to live with her daughter and son-in-law in Baton Rouge. Her favorite thing to do was to go to Charlie's Place at the Alzheimer's Services. Thank you to all who made this time so special to her. The family wishes to thank Annette Dorsey and her angels of care at the Just Like Home in Baton Rouge for their care and dedication to our mother and also to Dr. Douglas Say and Hospice of Baton Rouge. Services will be Thursday, August 18th at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1321 N 7th St. W. Monroe from 12:00 noon until services at 2:00 pm conducted by Reverend Wesley Pittman. Interment at Hasley Cemetery to follow. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Walter Fournet, Lisa Saia, Jeff, Ken and Steve Northcutt and son-in-law Ricky. Gordy.
