Funeral services for Dorothy Ward, 87, of Burleson, TX will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, LA. Mrs. Ward was born April 25, 1919 in Waco, Texas to A. E. and Pearl Carson Sheeler and passed away Monday, January 15, 2007 in Burleson, TX. She formerly worked for The University of Louisiana at Monroe, attended Baylor University and was a drummer in the band. On June 19, 1945 she married Welburn Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband Welburn Ward, four brothers and one sister. Dorothy Ward is survived by daughters Sheila Whites and husband, Gary of Burleson; and Glenda Reitzell and husband, Colonel Retired John Reitzell of Huntsville, Ala.; grandchildren, Ward Whites and Wade Whites and wife, Kelly, Mike Reitzell and wife, Michelle, and Robyn O'Dell and husband, Brian; 5 great- grandchildren, Blaze Whites, McKenna Whites, Hayden Whites, Emma Reitzell, and Ava Reitzell and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM Saturday, January 19, 2007 until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, Louisiana.
