Graveside services for Mrs. Dorothy Burton Cogdell, 69, of Rayville, will be Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at 1:00PM in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Monroe Copeland officiating. Services are under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.A long-time resident of West Monroe, Mrs. Cogdell was born October 19, 1938, in Eagle Mills, AR, the daughter of the late Corley and Nannie Purifoy Burton. She passed away December 16, 2007, in Arcadia, LA, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Cogdell was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger; 2 sons, Phillip and Dennis Cogdell; 2 sisters and a brother.Survivors include her son, Bruce Cogdell; daughter-in-law, Terri Cogdell; grandson, Drew Cogdell; 3 brothers, Richard, Johnny, and Roy Burton; her special friends Cora Mae Metcalf and the Gibson family.
