Dorothy June Waldrup Ward, 93, was born on June 19, 1929 in Memphis, TN and passed away on July 24, 2022 in Monroe, Louisiana after a brief illness. She graduated from NLU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Monroe and retired as a housewife and a secretary. She was predeceased by her husband, J.A. Ward, Jr.; parents, Newell and Dorothy Doyle Waldrup.
She is survived by her daughters, Theresa E. Bellmore of Lowell, NC, Janet M. Hart of Santa Fe, TX, Phyllis Doyle of Memphis TN and a son, James A. Ward, III and wife Carla of Little Rock, AR. Also surviving are grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Richard and Erica Walter, their children, David and Tommy Walter, Robby Walter of Lowell, NC, Richard M. “Micky” Brister, his children, Ian Anderson, Sean, Ava, Megan and Nathaniel “Nate” Brister of Belmond, Iowa, Allen and Rachel Doyle, their children, Thomas, Dorothy (one on the way), James, and Shelby Doyle of Dallas, TX, Elizabeth Janean Holloway and Adam Winemiller and her children, Samuel Jacob Browning, Jessica Marie Browning and Brandon Browning.
