Mrs. Antley was born on December 1, 1929 in Abita Springs, LA. She died on June 28, 2021 at her home in Greenwell Springs, LA, at the age of 91. She was the eldest of three children born to Nathan & Marie Mendow Paige. Mr. & Mrs. Paige raised their family in rural Covington LA, with not a lot of money. The children worked on the family farm starting at a young age. Mrs. Antley’s childhood was filled with hard work, but some of her fondest memories were of that time. She graduated from Covington High School, and many years later she retired from Sears Roebuck in Baton Rouge LA after 40 years of service. She was a great country cook, and she had a love of all things sweet, and Dr. Pepper. Lots of Dr. Pepper! She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Victor Joel Antley. Her parents, brother Nathan “Sonny” Paige Jr., brother in laws and sister in laws Beverly “Slim” Thibodeaux, Aubrey Antley (Elma), Smith Antley (Erma Jean), Huey Antley, Betty Tucker (Bobby), Grace Pixley, and Jean Davis. Survivors include daughter Lisa Antley Roy Moore (Roger Moore), grandson Leyton Jarett Roy, of Greenwell Springs, LA. Step daughter Vickie Lynn Antley Hall (Brian Hall), grandchildren Jennifer Rhodes (Patrick), Joel Hall (Haley), great grandchildren Dixie Rhodes, Delta Rhodes, David Rhodes, Jackson Hall, Mitchell Hall, & Archer Hall, of Shreveport, LA. Sister Lois “Mikie” Thibodeaux, brother in laws and sister in laws Marlene Paige, Billy “Son” Antley (Ivie), Gary Davis, Bobby Antley, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Visitation will resume at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1321 N. 7th St., West Monroe, LA on Friday, July 2, 2021, from 9:00, until funeral service begins at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Acree Cemetery in Point, LA.
